We are looking for an experienced and reliable Sous Chef to support our culinary operations across full-service catering events. You'll work closely with the Executive Chef to plan, prep, and execute menus for large-scale events, corporate functions, weddings, and private catering. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for creating memorable food experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Executive Chef in planning and executing event menus
Supervise kitchen staff in both prep and on-site production
Ensure consistency of dishes during high-volume service
Manage prep schedules, event timelines, and plating logistics
Maintain inventory, place orders, and track food costs
Oversee food safety standards in the production kitchen and off-site locations
Coordinate with the event team to deliver seamless service
Train, motivate, and support kitchen staff
Requirements
Previous experience as a Sous Chef (catering experience strongly preferred)
Ability to manage multiple event menus and timelines
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Strong knowledge of food prep, tasting standards, and presentation
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, event-driven environment
Valid food safety certification preferred
Ability to lift, transport, and set up equipment during events
