We're looking for a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join the culinary team at one of our popular cafe branches in Dubai, known for its vibrant breakfast menu, specialty coffee, and warm neighborhood vibe.
As Sous Chef, you'll work closely with the Head Chef to deliver exceptional quality across our menu -- from creative breakfast plates to hearty mains and desserts -- while maintaining consistency, efficiency, and presentation standards.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations and staff supervision.
Lead the kitchen team in the Head Chef's absence, ensuring smooth service.
Maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, and presentation.
Monitor stock levels, control wastage, and assist with ordering and inventory.
Train and motivate junior chefs and kitchen staff.
Collaborate with management on menu updates, specials, and seasonal offerings.
Requirements
Minimum 3-5 years' experience as a Sous Chef or Senior CDP in a busy cafe or casual dining restaurant.
Strong background in breakfast, brunch, and modern comfort food.
Ability to manage prep schedules, kitchen organization, and service timing.
Excellent leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
Food safety certification and HACCP knowledge preferred.
Creativity and passion for delivering memorable dining experiences.
