Job Description

Assist the

Head Chef

in daily kitchen operations and oversee food preparation and cooking. Supervise, train, and motivate kitchen staff to maintain high culinary standards. Ensure all dishes are prepared according to recipes, presentation standards, and portion control guidelines. Monitor kitchen cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards in compliance with food safety regulations. Manage inventory, track food costs, and assist with ordering supplies. Help develop and test new recipes and menu items. Handle staff scheduling and ensure smooth kitchen workflow during service. Step in to lead the kitchen during the Head Chef's absence. Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure efficient communication and service delivery. Control waste and manage portioning to maintain profitability.
