Sous Chef

As a Sous Chef, you will assist the Executive Sous Chef in maintaining the highest standard of food quality with creativity and consistency to build and maintain a strong and efficient team Promote Mission statement, product and service standards, and marketing goals.

What you will be doing:

• To develop and maintain the highest standard of food quality with creativity and consistency.
• To build and maintain a strong and efficient team
• To order, check, plan, execute and ensure the freshness of products.
• To communicate and co-ordinate all ala Carte and special dishes with the Exec Chef and The Restaurant Manager.
• To walk through all meal products
• Maintain professional relationship with Service Team Members.
• Is aware of and abides by all hotel policies, procedures & relevant legislations
• Reports any hazards, risks, accidents as required
• Ensures all directions are followed out at the request of any level of Senior Management.
• Prepares the kitchen in line with level of activity and revised forecasts
• Ensures the smooth running of food preparation during the shift
• Ensures effective coordination between the kitchen, dishwashing and the different F&B points of sale
• Helps create new menu and "\xc3\xa0 la carte" recipes
• Attend weekly Kitchen meetings
• Perform operational responsibilities of Executive Sous Chef in their absence

Your experience and skills include:

• Minimum 2-3 years of previous experience in hotel industry is preferred
• Excellence in strategic leadership and team management
• Creative and passionate about food and customer service
• Able to work in a high-pressure environment

Visa requirements:

Please note that you must be eligible to live and work in Dubai. Swissotel Al Ghurair & Swissotel Living Al Ghurair will cover visa costs and flights for selected candidates from place of origin.
