We are looking for an experienced and motivated Sous Chef - Banquets to support the leadership of our hotel's banquet kitchen. This role is perfect for a culinary professional who excels in large-scale food production and is passionate about delivering high-quality dining experiences for conferences, weddings, corporate events, and social functions.
About The Role
Assist the Chef De Cuisine in the daily operation of the banquet kitchen
Lead and supervise the culinary team during large-scale events and functions
Ensure all banquet food is prepared and presented to the highest quality and brand standards
Coordinate food production for buffets, plated service, coffee breaks, and live cooking stations
Maintain consistency, portion control, and timely service during high-volume operations
Monitor food costs, minimize waste, and ensure efficient use of resources
Uphold food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards at all times
Support menu planning and development for seasonal and event-specific offerings
Train, mentor, and motivate junior kitchen staff
Work closely with the Banquets and Events teams to ensure smooth event execution
About You
Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Chef de Partie in a hotel banquet or large catering operation
Proven ability to manage high-volume production under pressure
Strong leadership and communication skills
Knowledge of international cuisines and banquet-style service
Good understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
Culinary qualification or equivalent professional training preferred
Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
