Job Description

As Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef to oversee all kitchen operations, maintain high culinary standards, and lead the team with professionalism. You will bring expertise in grilling techniques, menu execution, and kitchen management while ensuring consistency, efficiency, and creativity in every service.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations and act as second-in-command. Lead and supervise the kitchen team, providing training, motivation, and support. Oversee Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner operation, ensuring all dishes are prepared and presented to the highest standard. Manage ordering, stock rotation, and inventory control to minimize waste and maintain cost efficiency. Ensure compliance with food hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards. Contribute to menu development, incorporating seasonal and creative grill dishes. Maintain strong communication with front-of-house and management teams. Uphold a positive, professional, and collaborative kitchen culture.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a high-quality, busy kitchen (+300 Pax/Day) Expertise in grill cooking techniques (charcoal, wood, or open flame experience a plus). Strong leadership, organizational, and people management skills. Excellent knowledge of kitchen operations, food costing, and stock control. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Culinary degree or relevant professional training preferred.
