The purpose of the Sourcing & Procurement Section Head is to identify and engage with reliable suppliers for high-quality female fabrics at competitive prices. The role involves negotiating favorable pricing and payment terms, ensuring contract transparency, and establishing quality checks. The head is responsible for managing inventory levels, ensuring timely product delivery, processing outlet's purchase requests, and maintaining procurement records. The section head develops strategies to streamline procurement, comply with import regulations, assess and improve procurement performance, and collaborate with other departments for strategic alignment. The role also involves managing supplier relationships and mitigating supply chain risks.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Determines potential suppliers capable of providing high-quality female at competitive prices, in line with company standards.
Secures favorable pricing and payment conditions with suppliers to optimize cost saving and business profitability.
Drafts, scrutinizes, and manages supplier contracts, ensuring transparent and enforceable terms and conditions
Collaborate with suppliers to establish quality checks, guaranteeing received fabrics meet company standards.
Works with the Warehouse and Logistics Department to maintain appropriate inventory levels, avoiding overstocking or shortages.
Ensures punctual product/service delivery by regularly following up with suppliers.
Receives and assess outlets requests for product purchases by branch managers or Supervisors in charge of each outlet.
Acts as the primary liaison for internal and external purchase-related relationships.
Collaborate with the accounting department to ensure timely supplier payments.
Records accurately all purchasing and item data in the system.
Develops plans and strategies to streamline the procurement process, considering factors like lead times, order quantities, and seasonal demand fluctuations.
Manages the purchase orders, tracking progress and ensuring timely fabric delivery.
Adheres to all relevant import trading regulations, including customs, imports duties, and product safety standards.
Assess regularly supplier and procurement process performance, identifying improvement areas and implementing necessary change.
Collaborate with other departments like logistics, warehouse, marketing, and other relevant functions to align procurement with overall business strategy and customer satisfaction.
Maintains robust relationships with suppliers, resolving any arising issues for smooth collaborations.
Identifies and mitigates potential supply chain risks, including supplier insolvency, delivery delays, or import regulations changes.
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administrations or related fields.
Professional certifications in Sourcing or Procurement are a plus.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in sourcing and procurement, preferably within the textile industry.
Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
Excellent understanding of procurement processes and import regulations.
Proficiency in inventory management and supply chain risk management.
Strong analytical skills and ability to make data-driven decisions.
