About the role: Will have a 360-degree scope of all areas relating to the wine list, the restaurant and the bar operation. Responsible for helping to develop the wine lists for all areas that sit within the restaurant and bar spaces as well as supporting their area of the business in a manner that will ensure that all parties\xe2\x80\x99 expected standards are maintained at all times. In order to meet budgetary requirements and improve the guest experience, role will support and drive the achievement of commercial outputs across the business area. Providing a world-class wine experience through the availability and delivery of a best-in-class wine product is the role\'s core attribute, with operational excellence being a major focus.
Your responsibilities include but not limited to:

- Use all available wine sales tools to evaluate sales performance on a weekly and monthly basis; review with the restaurant manager and, as needed, work collaboratively to implement any necessary corrective measures.
- Support restaurant wine sales by ensuring that objectives are accomplished, and profits are maximised
- Support the stocktake process to optimizing stock integrity, reducing wastage and monitoring gross margins to achieve budgeted targets.
- Collaborate closely on wine matching during menu engineering process with the Chef de Cuisine and Restaurant Manager to maintain expected standards.
- Contribute to the creation of wine menu in line with client demand, market trends, and brand requirements to enhance guest experience.
- Support the restaurant\'s wine sales and service strategy and put those ideas into practise to enhance customer\xe2\x80\x99s experience.
- Drive Alcohol beverage sales of the restaurant to exceed the set KPIs.
- Provide team with regular upskill training and information in terms of product knowledge, pairings, and service standards.
- Conduct daily front and back of house checks to ensure cleanliness, setup and readiness for service.
- Liaise with Restaurant Manager to co-create marketing plans for the upcoming year; highlighting key target markets and key messages business wants to portray to the industry.
- Establish effective work relationships with the BOH support teams, Wine Supply, Marketing, Wine Buyer, Food Safety, Distribution and Store Services.
Qualifications Qualifications and Experience: Without a Degree: High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification /Diploma or Equivalent (Type of Diploma Based on Role) with Minimum 4 years of job-related experience OR With a Degree: Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 3 years of job-related experience Essential

- WSET Level 3 (Wine & Spirit Education Trust).
- Previous work experience in luxury brand.
- Computer knowledge in Outlook, MS word and MS excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills.
- Methodical and practice solution solver.
- Command of English language.
- Managerial skills - Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop subordinate\'s skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members.
