Monstarlab MENA is the newest addition to our international office network, established with a dedication to creating new services for the agency and a vision to become one of the most important players in the field of advanced digital products and innovation projects in the UAE and KSA. We are now looking for a Solution Architect who will propel the growth of our technical operations in KSA.
As Solution Architect, you will facilitate delivery of robust, secure, efficient and well-built digital solutions across a range of technologies, defining development scope and requirements alongside a local Technical Director, and in collaboration with Monstarlab Technology, UX, Strategy and Design teams. More specific responsibilities will include:

• Aligning potential solution maps with Monstarlab’s overall strategic direction and regional goals

• Translating business needs into executable technical designs and roadmaps

• Ensuring that different levels of Monstarlab stakeholders maintain clear understanding of our solution offerings

• Consistently demonstrating technical craftsmanship in detailed architecture diagrams, data models, mockups and journey maps

• Surveying internal and external systems landscapes to enable viable integrations

• Driving development and the establishment of Monstarlab coding standards, quality control, testing and process guidelines within the local team structure

• Reviewing technical solutions and proposals, evaluating alternative approaches and supporting the development of prototypes as well as technical/functional specifications

Our ideal candidate is an experienced team leader and seasoned software engineer unafraid to test the limits of technology and engineering. As our ideal Solution Architect, you possess:

• 10+ years’ experience in software development, including leading teams on cloud-based and/or scalable digital solution builds for mobile, web and backend

• Experience with back-end development, including building RESTful APIs in a widely used programming language (Java, Node.js, .Net, etc.)
• Experience with mobile development, including React Native, iOS, and Android.

• Experience with Front-end technologies, including modern JavaScript frameworks (ReactJS, Angular, etc.)

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub actions, GitLab CI/CD Git, git flow), third party libraries and a range of third-party services

• Experience with databases, both SQL and NoSQL

• Experience with Quality Assurance methodologies

• Utmost confidence communicating at a professional level in English, as well as being fluent in Arabic

• Years of practical application of the Agile methodology and the ability to coach and inspire others in this approach

• A keen interest in mentoring/developing those around you and fostering an office environment defined by clear, open communication

• The cool head and social ease that makes you client-compatible and able to pitch ideas on all fronts, an effective representative of technical experts

• A passion for open-source development and a work approach characterized by empathy, confident and consistent decision-making, and a love of problem solving

• Knowledge of the challenges that accompany cross-office and/or digital agency product development and project management

• Experience with any major cloud services provider (Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud). Being certified from any of the major cloud services provider is a huge plus.
