Asante Gold Corporation is a gold exploration, development and operating company with a high-quality portfolio of projects and mines in Ghana. Asante is currently operating the Bibiani and Chirano Gold Mines and continues with detailed technical studies at its Kubi Gold Project for early production.


All mines and projects are located on the prolific Bibiani and Ashanti Gold Belts. Asante is also exploring its Keyhole, Fahiakoba, and Betenase projects for new discoveries, all adjoining or along strike of major gold mines near the centre of Ghana's Golden Triangle. Asante is listed on the Canadian Securities Exchange, the GhanaStock Exchange and the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. We co-listed our shares on the Ghana Stock Exchange to allow a whole new group of Ghanaian investors the opportunity to invest in the growth of their own local gold mining industry.

Asante has an experienced and skilled team of mine finders, builders and operators, with extensive experience in Ghana. Our experienced team members are our most precious asset, having discovered, explored and developed more than 24Moz of gold resources and reserves in Ghana; and having managed Ghana's largest underground mine.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure relevant Safety, Mining and other statutory Codes and Regulations remain in full compliance, and actively promote Safety Culture and Hazard Awareness on the Mine Mark up drill patterns in accordance with design, geological, statutory, and survey specifications Drill to design, measure and confirm completion within specification tolerances Work with technical and supervisory staff in quality and safety initiatives Complete end of shift tasks including status checks, data reporting and handover preparation for the incoming shift Complete all tasks at the required rate and to the required standard Participate in all applicable safety, prestart and shift team meetings Complete pre-start checklists, shift reports & plods to an acceptable standard Perform other duties as may be assigned by your shift supervisor

Education, Work Experience & Key Competencies

Minimum of basic educational qualifications NVTI or its equivalent with at least three (3) years underground drilling experience. Detailed knowledge of the operation of Solo drills. Must be able to read and interpret technical drawings, parts books and service manuals (including specifications) for Company Equipment. Detailed knowledge of the operation of Solo drills with a minimum of 3 years' Top Hammer & Long-Hole Drilling experience. ITH/DTH drilling experience will be an added advantage. Ability to read and understand detailed drill pattern designs, survey prints and layouts. Must have basic electrical and mechanical knowledge on the Solo Rigs. Must have a valid First Aid Certificate. Must possess a valid Ghanaian driving license (Class B & E) and be capable of driving underground. * Must demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the relevant Minerals and Mining Regulations.
