Software Test Engineer - Dubai

The key objective of the Test & Validation Engineer is to develop efficient, reliable, and repeatable test processes that assure software functionalities when periodical updates are applied. Strong emphasis is placed on the candidate\'s ability to develop and execute test plans to make the test processes repeatable and eligible for automation. A successful candidate must demonstrate their ability in implementing test automation on their own without requiring additional resources.

Key Responsibilities:

Listed in order of relevance:

- Develop and execute test roadmap and implementation to deliver continuous assurance of software functionalities against periodical software updates.

- Maintain a list of software updates, review release notes, qualify updates, and generate test reports within a committed period

- Work with R&D engineers in reporting, investigation, and resolving of any suspected compatibility issue.

- Document and improve test automation scripts for new functionalities or expanded test coverage.

- Respond to change productively and handle other duties as required. - Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

- BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering or equivalent.

- 4+ years of experience in engineering, testing of PLC applications and software.

- Knowledge of various testing and verification techniques required.

- Experience in oil and gas control systems required.

- Experience in product testing automation (TestCompare, Quick Test Professional (QTP), Ranorex or equal), PLC Programming.

- Experience in software testing.

- Working knowledge of MS/Windows OS, Office applications.

- Ability to read, speak, and write in English required.

- knowledge or ability to assess and utilize customer engagement.

- knowledge or ability pertaining to data management.

- knowledge of various marketing tools.

- knowledge or ability pertaining to conducting consumer research
