Position Overview:

As a Software Team Lead and Architect you will play a pivotal role in guiding our software development efforts, driving architectural decisions, and mentoring a team of talented developers. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable and efficient software solutions for our technologically advanced products from embedded systems to cloud based architectures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and inspire a team of software developers, providing guidance, mentoring, and fostering a collaborative and innovative culture.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define software architecture and technical requirements.
• Develop and maintain high-level design documents, including system architecture, software design, and technology selection.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership, code reviews, and ensure the team follows best practices.
• Lead the development of critical components and modules, taking ownership of the architectural vision.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to make informed decisions about technology selection and adoption.
• Identify and mitigate technical debt, ensuring the long-term maintainability and scalability of our software solutions.
• Continuously improve development processes, tools, and coding standards to enhance productivity and code quality.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in software development and architecture, including hands-on coding and design.
• Strong leadership skills with a track record of leading and mentoring software development teams.
• Expertise in software architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices.

• Proficiency in multiple programming languages and technologies (e.g., Go, Java, Python, C++, Kubernetes , Docker).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge and experience with Linux operating systems is essential.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.

This position requires that you undergo a security screening in accordance with the Saab internal processes.
