Job Description
As a Clinical Social Worker, you will be an integral part of our multidisciplinary healthcare team, providing professional mental health services to individuals and families. Your role will involve assessing psychosocial needs, providing therapeutic interventions, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care. Responsibilities:
- Psychosocial Assessment:
- Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments of patients, taking into account their mental health history, family dynamics, and social environment.
- Identify factors impacting mental health and contribute to the development of individualized treatment plans.
- Provide evidence-based psychotherapy and counseling to individuals, couples, and families dealing with a range of mental health issues.
- Utilize various therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused therapy.
- Respond to and manage crisis situations effectively, providing immediate support and interventions for individuals experiencing acute mental health crises.
- Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate integrated patient care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and treatment planning.
- Advocate for patients\' needs and rights, both within the healthcare setting and the broader community.
- Assist patients in accessing social services, financial assistance, and community resources to support their overall well-being.
- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
- Facilitate support groups and psychoeducational sessions as needed.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of assessments, treatment plans, and interventions.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and organizational documentation standards.
- Stay updated on current trends, research, and best practices in clinical social work.
- Engage in ongoing professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Master\'s degree in Social Work with a focus on clinical practice.
- Valid license to practice as a Clinical Social Worker in Dubai.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in clinical social work, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Proficient in conducting psychosocial assessments and delivering evidence-based psychotherapy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
