Arabian Media is seeking a dynamic and talented individual to join our team as a Social Media Executive. A vibrant, young personality with a passion for social media, able to bring fresh and creative ideas to the team. As a Social Media Executive, you will be responsible for managing our social media accounts and of our clients. Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring the social media channels in use have regular, high quality and creative content output
  • Managing queries and messages, replying to people and engaging with audiences, known as community management
  • Scheduling and deliver messages through an up-to-date content calendar
  • Working with the wider marketing team to help deliver key messages and support on marketing campaigns and activity
  • Collaborating with other social media specialists in the company, such as paid media managers
  • Analyzing and report back on content, looking at key performance indicators and content types to make recommendations
  • Creating strong written posts that have excellent grammar and spelling that grab the attention of the audience
  • Working with other visual media designers to create exciting, fun content that helps achieve the business aims
  • Staying up to date with all developments in social media, such as legal changes, new platforms and new features introduced
  • Develop and implement social media strategies to enhance client\'s online presence and achieve their marketing goals.
  • Ability to confidently face the camera and deliver engaging narrations for reel content, showcasing excellent presentation and communication skills.
Desired Skills
Good writing
Having a strong grasp of written English, including grammar and spelling, is essential for a social media executive. Being able to write in language that fits an audience, showing understanding, knowledge and nuance makes a huge difference to the effectiveness of content. Talk to your audience in a language they understand. This might mean using common acronyms, colloquial language and even emojis in your copy. Writing in common terms rather than jargon is also imperative.
Creative thinking
Social media moves fast and your content needs to stand out from the crowd. Having the ability to think creatively and try new types and styles of content is what sets a good social media executive apart. Crafting messages that grab the audience\'s attention, working with designers to create exceptional eye-catching visuals and being able to jump on trends and act with reactive creativity is key.
Time management and organization
Managing multiple different social media channels, potentially across multiple clients or time zones, means good time management and organization are essential skills. Scheduling content to go out at appropriate times, preparing content calendars for review and drawing up monthly or weekly reports to measure performance all require you to keep on time and on schedule. Having good organizational skills means you meet deadlines and stay calm as they approach.
Data analysis
Social media analytics go into granular levels of detail, all designed to help give your insight into every type of activity. Being able to extract information, examine the data presented, recognize trends and extrapolate into client-facing formats is an essential skill for social media executives. Analyzing and understanding the data from social media reporting means you can adjust strategies, find new ways to experiment, support your work and give evidence as needed to make changes.
Communication
A social media executive role requires strong communication skills. The role involves working with many different people to create a content calendar, including designers, marketing managers, advertising companies and project managers. Managing different expectations and outputs means keeping everyone informed and up to date. Confident, clear communication, whether that\'s over email, telephone, direct messages or video call, is a skill highly valued in a social media executive. Preferred qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s degree in communications, public relations, marketing or a related field.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing tools (like Google Analytics and Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Knowledge of SEO, SEM and other digital marketing techniques.
  • Knowledge of social media management tools (like Buffer and Hootsuite).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience of at least three (3) years in digital marketing, content writing, or social media management.
