We are seeking an experienced Smart Home Automation Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in the design, development, and integration of advanced smart home systems. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of implementing automation solutions that improve residential and commercial living spaces. As part of our team, you will work with cutting-edge technologies and be responsible for deploying customized smart home ecosystems that provide convenience, security, and energy efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Smart Home System Design & Integration:Lead the design, configuration, and integration of advanced smart home systems, including lighting, HVAC, security, entertainment, and energy management solutions. Ensure seamless interoperability across various devices and platforms. Advanced Protocols & Automation Scripting:Implement advanced IoT protocols (Z-Wave, Zigbee, MQTT, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth) for device integration. Write custom scripts and automation rules using Python, JavaScript, or Node.js to provide tailored smart home experiences. Cloud & Mobile Platform Integration:Utilize cloud platforms (AWS IoT, Azure IoT) and mobile app technologies (React Native, iOS, Android) to ensure remote control and monitoring capabilities for end users. System Optimization & Troubleshooting:Manage the troubleshooting and optimization of existing installations. Resolve technical issues related to smart home devices, connectivity, and system performance to maintain a high standard of operation. Client Consultation & Customization:Work directly with clients to understand their needs, providing recommendations for the best smart home solutions. Customize automation systems to fit unique requirements, ensuring high user satisfaction. Project Management & Coordination:Lead projects from conception through to completion, including managing timelines, budgets, and teams. Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet client specifications. Testing, Quality Assurance & Documentation:Conduct thorough testing of automation systems and document system configurations, troubleshooting steps, and user manuals. Ensure all systems meet high-quality standards and operational reliability. Stay Updated with Industry Trends:Continuously research new smart home technologies, trends, and innovations. Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in IoT, automation systems, and smart home platforms to ensure that our offerings remain competitive.
Required Qualifications:

Education:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Automation, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). Experience:At least 5 years of professional experience in smart home automation, including design, integration, and troubleshooting of smart home systems. Technical Skills: Expertise in IoT protocols (Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, MQTT, Bluetooth) Advanced knowledge of smart home platforms such as Amazon Alexa, Google Home, Apple HomeKit, etc. Proficiency in programming and automation scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, Node.js) Strong experience in cloud services (AWS IoT, Google Cloud IoT, Microsoft Azure IoT) Ability to integrate and manage mobile app development for smart home solutions (React Native, iOS, Android) Hands-on experience with system security, including encryption and secure communication protocols in IoT systems. Problem-Solving & Troubleshooting:Demonstrated expertise in diagnosing complex technical issues and providing efficient solutions to ensure seamless automation system performance. Client-Facing Skills:Strong communication skills to interact with clients, understand their needs, and deliver customized solutions. Experience in providing client support post-installation. Project Management Experience:Proven track record of managing smart home automation projects from initial design to final delivery, including scheduling, team coordination, and client communication.
Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications: Certified Home Automation Professional (CHAP) AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or relevant IoT certifications Additional certifications in IoT, cloud services, or automation technologies. Experience in Smart Security Systems:Expertise in the integration of security solutions, including smart cameras, door locks, sensors, and alarm systems. Mobile App Development Experience:Knowledge of developing or modifying mobile applications for smart home control (iOS, Android, React Native). Understanding of Data Privacy & Security Standards:Experience in applying best practices for securing IoT devices, managing data privacy, and ensuring safe communication protocols.
