Our employees are our most valuable resources, and we strive to ensure that they are treated as such. We currently have an opportunity for a Site Superintendent position at our Bahrain location. The Electrical Project Site Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of electrical projects at various construction sites, including ensuring safety, quality, and compliance with project specifications. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical construction, excellent communication and leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage on-site electrical construction projects, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance with project specifications, codes, and regulations.
  • Coordinate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution and resolve on-site issues.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, monitor progress, and make necessary adjustments to meet deadlines and project objectives.
  • Develop and maintain a 3-week look-ahead program to meet project schedules.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to design specifications and safety regulations.
  • Manage and supervise on-site electrical teams, providing guidance, direction, and performance feedback.
  • Review and approve electrical work performed by subcontractors, ensuring adherence to project specifications and quality standards.
  • Obtain necessary permits and licenses, and complete inspections and approvals in a timely manner.
  • Create and maintain project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and as-built drawings.
  • Implement and enforce site-specific safety programs and procedures, ensuring all personnel are trained and equipped to work safely.
  • Identify and resolve potential project risks, proactively addressing issues that may impact project performance or completion.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Verify that work performed by subcontractors, suppliers, and Liberal Construction work crews conforms to quality standards, regulatory and code requirements, contract requirements, technical specifications, approved submittals, and company standards and specifications.
  • Ensure subcontractors and suppliers begin work in accordance with Liberal Construction start-work policies and receive notice to work only when conditions will not adversely affect quality results.
  • Accurately assess subcontractor quality and on-time performance, ensuring quality standards are achieved before approving completion of work.
  • Stop work when continuing may adversely affect quality or cover up a defect, prevent the use of equipment or materials that may adversely affect quality, and direct the removal or replacement of any non-conforming work, equipment, or material.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical construction, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of electrical systems, construction methods, and safety regulations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical plans, specifications, material product data, and blueprints.
  • Proficiency in project management software, such as Microsoft Project, Procore, or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with local, state, and federal electrical codes and regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
  • Valid Bahrain driver\'s license and reliable transportation.
