Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Design, review, and approve HVAC, plumbing, fire fighting, and other mechanical systems. Prepare and evaluate technical drawings, specifications, and material submittals. Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and suppliers to ensure compliance with project requirements. Conduct site inspections and supervise installation, testing, and commissioning activities. Ensure all mechanical systems comply with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations. Prepare BOQ, cost estimates, and assist in procurement activities. Support project planning and progress reporting related to mechanical works. Identify and resolve design and construction issues in coordination with the project team. Review shop drawings and as-built documentation. Participate in value engineering and energy efficiency improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Minimum 3-7 years of experience in building construction or MEP projects (depending on seniority). Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire fighting systems. Familiar with international standards such as ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, and local authority regulations (e.g., Dubai Civil Defence, DEWA, DM). Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit (preferred), and other relevant design software. Excellent communication and coordination skills. Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks under pressure.

Preferred Skills:

Experience in high-rise buildings, commercial complexes, or large-scale MEP projects.
