Masdar is the UAE\xe2\x80\x99s clean energy champion and one of the largest companies of its kind in the world, advancing the development and deployment of renewable energy and green hydrogen technologies to address global sustainability challenges. Established in 2006, Masdar is today active in over 40 countries, helping them to achieve their clean energy objectives and advance sustainable development. Masdar is jointly owned by Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), Mubadala Investment Company (Mubadala), and Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA), and under this ownership the company is targeting a renewable energy portfolio capacity of at least 100 gigawatts (GW) by 2030 and an annual green hydrogen production capacity of up to 1 million tones by the same year.
To contribute to Substation and Transmission Line projects including preparing and agreeing project specifications, budgets and timescales with contractors, clients or other stakeholders, and ensuring delivery in line with project plans.
Key Accountabilities
Contribute to the delivery of Substation and Transmission Line projects
Conduct audits and ensure compliance
Perform design work on projects during development phase
Participate and support to EPC contracts and Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) evaluation and negotiations regarding Electrical aspects
Contribute to stakeholder management
Contribute to processes
Comply with information security policies, procedures, requirements at all times
Support QHSE activities, policies and objectives of Masdar and compliance with the laws and regulations of Abu Dhabi and UAE.
Preferred Experience:
At least 6 years of engineering experience within the renewable energy sector specifically in Substation and Transmission Line Experience with grid integration of Conventional (Coal Thermal Power Plant) / Oil & Gas Industry (ADNOC) / (Renewable) energy plants.
Qualifications
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Electrical Engineering or any other related field
Master\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Engineering is an asset
Chartered Engineer status e.g. (e.g. IET, EUR Ing, PEng) is desirable
