The Site Engineer - Infrastructure Projects is responsible for supervising and coordinating on-site construction activities related to infrastructure works such as roads, utilities, drainage, and other civil infrastructure. The role involves ensuring the execution of works as per approved drawings, specifications, and safety standards while maintaining quality and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and monitor daily site activities for infrastructure works, including roads, sewage, water supply, stormwater drainage, and utilities.
Ensure all works are carried out according to the project drawings, specifications, and approved method statements.
Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and labor teams to meet daily and weekly targets.
Review construction drawings and identify any discrepancies or potential clashes in coordination with the design and technical team.
Conduct inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with project specifications and local authority requirements.
Monitor material deliveries and ensure proper storage and handling at the site.
Prepare daily site reports, progress updates, and documentation of completed works.
Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards on-site.
Assist the Project Manager in preparing work programs, resource schedules, and progress reports.
Liaise with consultants, client representatives, and authorities during inspections and project reviews.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Minimum 4-6 years of experience in site engineering roles with a focus on infrastructure projects.
Previous experience in roads, utilities, stormwater, and sewer networks is required.
Proficiency in reading construction drawings and using layout tools.
Good knowledge of relevant codes and standards (e.g., DM, ADM, Ashghal, etc., depending on location).
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD; knowledge of Primavera or MS Project is a plus.
Valid UAE Driving License.
Preferred Skills:
Problem-solving and proactive site management.
Experience in dealing with local authorities for inspections and approvals.
Familiarity with quality assurance and quality control procedures.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
