Job Description

The Site Engineer will be responsible for supervising and managing interior fit-out projects from inception to completion. This role ensures adherence to quality standards, timelines, budget constraints, and safety protocols while coordinating with subcontractors, designers, and clients to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities

Site Supervision & Project Execution

Report directly to the Operations Manager or Project Manager. Oversee site activities, workforce, and subcontractors to ensure smooth operations and timely project completion. Review and interpret detailed construction drawings to manage fit-out works effectively, even under tight deadlines. Monitor and maintain quality of workmanship, providing necessary guidance to subcontractors. Prepare and implement daily target schedules aligned with the approved project timeline. Inspect completed work and correct defects in collaboration with subcontractors. Conduct site surveys, setting-out works, and provide feedback to site management.

Coordination & Communication

Maintain effective coordination with subcontractors, designers, and clients on-site. Ensure timely procurement and availability of materials in coordination with the purchasing department. Check and verify contractors' and vendors' bills for timely processing and payments. Facilitate resource planning, execution, and completion of major works as per client requirements.

Technical & Quality Control

Take site measurements for new project enquiries with designers and engineers. Supervise various interior works including gypsum partitions, ceiling works, flooring, wall finishes, steel fabrication, aluminum cladding, and related trades. Ensure compliance with safety standards in line with company and regulatory requirements. Maintain detailed study of execution drawings and ensure accurate material requisitions.

Reporting & Documentation

Keep accurate records of manpower allocation, labor movement, and overtime, submitting reports to the Project Head on a weekly basis. Issue completion certificates for legal closure of projects. Ensure all work is completed with maximum quality using available resources.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field. 2+ years of experience in site supervision within the interior fit-out industry. Strong knowledge of interior fit-out materials, methods, and finishes. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and project scheduling tools is an advantage.
