Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage daily site activities related to
electrical works in firefighting and fire alarm systems
, ensuring compliance with
UAE Civil Defense codes
,
NFPA 70/72 standards
, and approved shop drawings.
Ensure all work is executed in line with
UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE)
labor regulations, including worker welfare and site safety.
Enforce strict compliance with
UAE Fire and Life Safety Code of Practice
,
Civil Defense requirements
,
ADNOC standards (where applicable)
, and
Permit-to-Work (PTW)
systems.
Coordinate with consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, Civil Defense officials, and internal teams for smooth project execution.
Review and inspect electrical installations such as
fire alarm panels (addressable & conventional)
,
emergency/exit lighting systems
,
VESDA systems
,
voice evacuation systems
,
fire pumps control panels
, and
cabling/containment works
to ensure quality and regulatory compliance.
Prepare and submit
Inspection Requests (IRs)
, assist during
Civil Defense inspections
, and follow up for approvals and authority clearances.
Maintain proper documentation, including
daily site reports, electrical material inspections, ITPs, red-marked drawings, cable schedules, and progress schedules
.
Monitor site safety in compliance with UAE
HSE legal frameworks
, ensuring workers follow electrical safety procedures and use PPE.
Support
testing, commissioning, and handover
of fire alarm and electrical firefighting systems, ensuring compliance with
Civil Defense approvals and project specifications
.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in
Electrical Engineering
from a recognized institution.
Minimum
3-5 years of UAE experience
in
fire alarm and firefighting electrical system execution
.
Proven experience in preparing and submitting
Civil Defense documentation
and securing approvals for electrical/fire alarm systems.
Strong knowledge of
NFPA 70 (NEC), NFPA 72 (Fire Alarm Systems)
,
UAE Fire & Life Safety Code
, and ADNOC HSE/quality requirements for oil & gas projects.
Experience in
onshore and offshore firefighting/fire alarm projects
is an advantage.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting
electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, schematics, and control wiring layouts
.
Strong communication skills and ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams and external authorities.
Valid UAE driving license preferred.
Immediate availability is an advantage.
