Job Description

The Electrical Site Engineer is responsible for overseeing electrical installations, maintenance, and commissioning activities at the project site. The role ensures that all electrical works are executed in compliance with approved drawings, specifications, safety standards, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate electrical works on-site according to project plans and standards. Review and interpret electrical drawings, technical specifications, and design documents. Ensure all installations comply with local regulations, DEWA (or relevant authority) standards, and company policies. Prepare material requests, inspect deliveries, and verify the quality of equipment and materials. Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure adherence to quality and safety requirements. Coordinate with civil and mechanical teams to ensure proper sequence of work. Conduct site inspections, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems (lighting, power, LV/MV panels, earthing, etc.). Identify and resolve any technical issues or discrepancies during execution. Maintain daily site reports, progress updates, and documentation. Support project handover by preparing as-built drawings and operation manuals.

Skills and Competencies:

Strong knowledge of electrical systems, load calculations, and schematic interpretation. Familiarity with DEWA / ADDC / FEWA standards (as applicable in UAE). Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and electrical design software.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Minimum 2-5 years of site experience in electrical construction projects (building, infrastructure, or MEP). UAE experience preferred. Valid UAE driving license (advantage).
