Job Description
Supervise daily on-site activities for structural and non-structural works. Review and interpret shop drawings, drawings approvals, and project specifications. Raise
Work Inspection Requests (WIR)
andMaterial Inspection Requests (MIR)
for approval before execution. Ensure that materials and workmanship meet quality standards and project requirements. Coordinate with the senior draftsman, QA/QC team, and project managers for smooth workflow. Monitor site progress and report any deviations, delays, or issues. Ensure proper documentation of all inspections, approvals, and site activities. Provide technical guidance to the site team and subcontractors. Ensure safety compliance and enforce site safety regulations. Strong knowledge of structural and non-structural fabrication processes. Familiarity with shop drawings, site documentation, and inspection procedures. Ability to raise and track WIRs and MIRs. Understanding of relevant codes, standards, and safety procedures. Excellent communication and coordination skills. Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or related engineering field.Ideal Candidate:
Should have practical exposure in raising WIR and MIR. Must be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working closely with draftsmen, QA/QC, and project managers. Must be from the same field (metal fabrication, structural engineering, or similar). Minimum 3-5 years of site engineering experience in fabrication or construction projects. Experience in structural steel, metal works, or industrial fabrication projects is preferred.
