The Site Engineer is responsible for overseeing day-to-day site operations, managing activities, and ensuring the project progresses according to schedule, budget, and quality standards. This role involves coordinating with subcontractors, handling on-site technical issues, ensuring safety protocols, and reporting project status to the Project Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Supervision & Coordination:
Oversee and manage construction activities on-site to ensure compliance with project plans, drawings, and specifications.
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, laborers, and equipment to maintain workflow and resolve on-site issues.
Quality Control & Assurance:
Inspect and monitor construction materials and workmanship to ensure adherence to quality standards.
Conduct regular quality checks and prepare quality reports.
Health & Safety Compliance:
Enforce health and safety standards on-site, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed.
Conduct risk assessments and mitigate potential hazards to maintain a safe working environment.
Technical Support:
Provide technical guidance and resolve engineering issues as they arise.
Review project drawings and specifications and ensure accuracy in implementation.
Project Planning & Progress Monitoring:
Monitor project schedules and deadlines, ensuring that tasks are completed on time.
Report daily progress to the Project Manager and assist with documentation, including project logs and reports.
Resource Management:
Oversee materials and equipment on-site to ensure they are used efficiently and within budget.
Coordinate the delivery and storage of materials to prevent project delays.
Qualifications and Skills:
Educational Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
Experience:
Minimum 3-5 years in site engineering, preferably in construction projects involving warehouses, villas, or manufacturing facilities with string project execution knowledge.
Technical Skills:
Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and tools; proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office; familiarity with site safety practices.
Communication & Coordination Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective coordination with team members, subcontractors, and clients.
Problem-Solving Skills:
Ability to identify and solve site-related issues efficiently.
License:
Driving license not mandatory
