Site Engineer - Interior Fit-Out

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning and Coordination

Assist in planning and scheduling daily site activities according to the project timeline. Coordinate with project managers, designers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure all site works align with design intent and project objectives. Review and interpret interior drawings, joinery details, MEP coordination layouts, and material specifications.

2. Site Supervision

Oversee all on-site fit-out activities including partitions, ceilings, flooring, painting, joinery installation, and MEP works. Ensure that site works are executed according to approved drawings, quality standards, and safety regulations. Monitor subcontractor performance and provide guidance to ensure efficient progress. Conduct daily site inspections and report any discrepancies or issues to the Project Engineer/Manager.

3. Quality Control

Ensure all materials and finishes meet approved samples and specifications. Perform quality checks during and after installation to maintain the highest standards. Record and report any non-conformities and ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly.

4. Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE)

Enforce compliance with company and site safety procedures. Conduct toolbox talks and ensure proper use of PPE by all site personnel. Identify and mitigate potential safety hazards on site.

5. Documentation and Reporting

Prepare daily and weekly progress reports with site photos and updates. Track material deliveries, manpower, and equipment usage. Maintain updated records of drawings, site instructions, RFIs, and material approvals. Assist in preparing as-built drawings and project handover documentation.

6. Technical Support

Provide technical solutions for site-related challenges and coordinate with designers and consultants for clarifications. Verify site measurements and ensure accuracy for joinery fabrication and installation. Support procurement by confirming material quantities and technical compliance.

7. Cost and Time Management

Monitor progress to ensure timelines and budgets are maintained. Identify potential delays and propose corrective measures. Minimize material wastage and ensure optimal resource utilization.
