The Site Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the technical operations, maintenance activities, and project execution at assigned facilities. This role requires strong technical expertise in building systems and the ability to manage contractors and maintenance teams effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate all MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) maintenance activities at assigned sites
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure optimal functioning of all building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and BMS
Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for all equipment and systems
Manage and coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance work
Review and approve method statements, risk assessments, and work permits
Respond to technical emergencies and coordinate rapid resolution of critical issues
Monitor energy consumption and recommend efficiency improvement measures
Prepare technical reports, maintenance logs, and documentation
Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and quality requirements
Manage small projects including renovations, refurbishments, and system upgrades
Conduct root cause analysis for recurring technical issues and implement solutions
Maintain asset registers and update technical documentation
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or related field
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in facilities management or building maintenance
Strong knowledge of MEP systems, HVAC, electrical distribution, and plumbing systems
Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS) and CAFM software
Understanding of local building codes, safety regulations, and FM standards
Professional certification in facilities management (IFMA, RICS) is preferred
Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office applications
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Strong communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus)
Valid driving license
