Job Summary
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Mechanical Site Engineer to oversee and manage all on-site mechanical aspects of our MEP projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all mechanical installations are executed in accordance with project specifications, design drawings, quality standards, and health & safety regulations. You will act as the key technical point of contact on-site for all mechanical systems, including HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and Drainage.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Execution & Supervision:

• Supervise and direct the mechanical work crews and sub-contractors on-site to ensure adherence to project plans and schedules.
• Interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and specifications to guide the installation team.
• Monitor daily mechanical activities and provide technical guidance to resolve on-site issues promptly.
• Ensure all mechanical installations comply with the approved shop drawings and local authority regulations (e.g., DM, ADDC, DEWA, Civil Defense).

2. Quality Control & Assurance:

• Conduct regular inspections of mechanical works to ensure the highest quality standards are met.
• Implement and enforce the company's Quality Management System (QMS) on-site.
• Manage material inspections (IR) and ensure all materials used are as per approved submittals and project specifications.
• Oversee and witness all mechanical testing and commissioning activities, preparing detailed reports.

3. Planning & Coordination:

• Coordinate closely with the Project Manager, other MEP disciplines (Electrical, Plumbing), and the main contractor to ensure seamless project integration.
• Assist in preparing short-term look-ahead plans and daily/weekly work schedules for the mechanical team.
• Identify and report any potential delays or issues that may impact the project timeline and propose mitigation plans.

4. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE):

• Strictly enforce all company and project-specific HSE policies and procedures.
• Conduct toolbox talks and ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
• Report any accidents, incidents, or near-misses and participate in investigations.

5. Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date site records, including daily logs, inspection requests (IR), material approval requests (MAR), and as-built drawings.
• Prepare daily and weekly progress reports for the Project Manager.
• Assist in the review and processing of technical submittals and method statements.

6. Client & Consultant Liaison:

• Attend site meetings with clients, consultants, and main contractors.
• Address and resolve technical queries raised by the consultant/client in a timely manner.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Experience: Minimum of 4-7 years of proven experience as a Mechanical Site Engineer within the MEP industry in the UAE.
• Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems (Chilled Water, DX, VRF), Plumbing, Fire Fighting (Wet & Dry systems), and Drainage systems.
• Standards & Regulations: Must be thoroughly familiar with UAE authority regulations (DEWA, DM, ADDC, ADM, Civil Defense) and international standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, IPC, NFPA).
• Software Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office (Excel, Word, Project), and a strong ability to read and interpret complex mechanical drawings.
• Driving License: A valid UAE driving license is mandatory.
