Position Summary
We are looking for a dedicated Site Engineer with a strong civil engineering background and proven experience in landscaping projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of project execution on-site, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency, and in strict adherence to design specifications and timelines.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning & Technical Oversight:

• Review project drawings, specifications, and BOQs (Bills of Quantities) to understand project scope and technical requirements.
• Assist the Project Manager in developing detailed project execution plans, schedules, and resource allocation.
• Conduct site surveys and set out the project accurately using advanced surveying equipment (Total Station, GPS, Auto Level, etc.).
• Prepare and submit method statements, material submittals, and technical documentation for client/consultant approval.

2. On-Site Execution & Management:

• Lead the day-to-day construction activities on-site, ensuring work is carried out as per the approved drawings and quality standards.
• Supervise and direct foremen, crew leaders, and subcontractors.
• Manage the efficient use of manpower, machinery, and materials to minimize waste and maximize productivity.
• Oversee all civil and hardscape elements including earthworks, grading, drainage systems, retaining walls, pathways, patios, water features, and irrigation infrastructure.

3. Quality Control & Assurance:

• Conduct rigorous quality checks for all incoming materials and executed work (e.g., soil compaction, concrete slump tests, levels, alignment, finishes).
• Ensure all landscaping and construction practices comply with company standards, project specifications, and relevant local codes and regulations.
• Identify and resolve any technical issues or discrepancies that arise during construction promptly and effectively.

4. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE):

• Enforce strict adherence to all company safety policies and procedures on-site.
• Conduct daily toolbox talks and regular site safety inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
• Ensure a clean and organized site to promote a safe working environment and minimize environmental impact.

5. Coordination & Reporting:

• Liaise with clients, consultants, architects, and local authorities as required.
• Coordinate with the design team to resolve any on-site design queries and provide practical feedback.
• Maintain accurate and detailed site records, including daily progress reports, manpower reports, material consumption, and as-built drawings.
• Report project progress, challenges, and risks to the Project Manager regularly.

Qualifications & Skills
Essential:

• Education: B.E. / B.Tech. in Civil Engineering from a reputed institute.
• Experience: 4 to 5 years of hands-on experience as a Site Engineer, preferably within the landscaping, construction, or infrastructure industry.
• Technical Proficiency:
• Expert knowledge of surveying techniques and instruments (Total Station, GPS, Level).
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, earthworks, grading, and drainage principles.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural and civil engineering drawings.
• Excellent knowledge of construction materials and their properties.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Project) and AutoCAD.
• Soft Skills:

• High level of integrity, professionalism, and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

Desirable:

• Experience with landscaping-specific software.
