The Site Engineer - Interior Designing is responsible for overseeing and managing the on-site execution of interior design projects. The role involves ensuring timely project completion, maintaining quality standards, coordinating with contractors, and adhering to design specifications and budgets.
Key Responsibilities:1. Project Execution:
Supervise and manage the day-to-day operations on-site for interior design projects.
Ensure all work is completed as per approved drawings, specifications, and client expectations.
Coordinate and oversee the work of subcontractors, carpenters, painters, and other laborers.
2. Quality Assurance:
Monitor the quality of materials and workmanship to ensure high standards are maintained.
Conduct quality checks at various stages of the project to ensure compliance with design and safety standards.
3. Planning and Coordination:
Prepare and manage work schedules to ensure timely completion of milestones.
Coordinate with architects, interior designers, and clients to ensure design specifications are implemented accurately.
Act as the point of contact between the office team, contractors, and suppliers.
4. Budget and Resource Management:
Monitor and control project costs to stay within the allocated budget.
Track material usage and labor costs and minimize wastage.
Order materials and ensure timely delivery to avoid project delays.
5. Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain daily progress reports, work logs, and site records.
Prepare and submit regular updates on project progress, challenges, and resolutions.
Ensure all legal and regulatory documentation is complete and available on-site.
6. Compliance and Safety:
Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations on-site.
Implement safety protocols and conduct safety drills if necessary.
7. Problem Solving:
Address and resolve any technical issues, discrepancies, or challenges arising on-site.
Provide innovative solutions to design or execution challenges while maintaining project goals.
Qualifications and Skills:Education:
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Designing, or related field.
Experience:
Minimum 2-5 years of experience in interior design project execution or a similar role.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of interior design concepts, materials, and construction techniques.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, or other design and project management software.
Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage teams and coordinate with stakeholders.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.
