Job Summary:
The Site Engineer will be a pivotal figure in our construction projects, responsible for overseeing and managing on-site construction activities to ensure they are executed in accordance with plans, specifications, quality standards, safety regulations, and within agreed-upon timelines and budgets. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
The Site Engineer at Mira Construction in Dubai is responsible for the
direct on-site supervision and technical management
of construction activities. Key responsibilities include:
Overseeing and ensuring execution
of all construction work strictly according to approved
drawings, specifications, and project plans
.
Guaranteeing adherence to quality standards
through regular inspections and enforcement of quality control measures.
Implementing and championing site health and safety protocols
to maintain a safe working environment.
Providing technical guidance and resolving on-site issues
efficiently for subcontractors and site teams.
Monitoring project progress
against the schedule and identifying potential delays.
Coordinating effectively
with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Managing site resources
(labor, materials, equipment) for optimal utilization.
Preparing and maintaining accurate site documentation
and progress reports.
Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (UAE attested, if applicable).
Experience:
Minimum 7-10 years of proven experience as a Site Engineer or equivalent role in construction in the UAE. Experience in relevant project types (e.g., high-rise buildings, infrastructure) is a plus.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and engineering procedures.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural and structural drawings.
Familiarity with engineering software such as AutoCAD. Knowledge of BIM software (e.g., Revit, Navisworks) and project scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) is highly advantageous.
Solid understanding of site safety standards and quality control procedures.
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities with a proactive approach.
Exceptional organizational skills and a methodical approach to work.
