Job Summary:

The Site Engineer - Enabling Works is responsible for overseeing and executing all enabling works on-site including site preparation, excavation, shoring, dewatering, fencing, temporary facilities, and utilities relocation. This role ensures the enabling phase of the high-rise project is completed safely, on time, and in compliance with design and regulatory requirements in Dubai.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise day-to-day site operations related to enabling works Coordinate with subcontractors and labor teams on excavation, piling, fencing, and temporary structures Review and interpret engineering drawings, method statements, and technical specifications Monitor progress and quality of enabling works, ensuring alignment with project schedules and standards Coordinate with authorities and utility providers for permits and service diversions (e.g., DEWA, Etisalat, etc.) Ensure all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements are strictly followed on site Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues with consultants and project team Prepare daily site reports, checklists, and documentation for enabling activities Attend site meetings and provide updates to the Construction Manager or Project Engineer Support survey and layout teams in executing accurate leveling and marking Assist in material procurement and ensure timely delivery of site resources

Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field 3-5 years of experience in enabling works on large-scale or high-rise construction projects Knowledge of Dubai Municipality (DM), Trakhees, and other local authority regulations Strong understanding of excavation, dewatering, shoring, and temporary works Familiar with HSE requirements and method statements Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD; knowledge of project scheduling tools is a plus Excellent communication and leadership skills Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced site environment
