Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Engineer with a strong civil engineering background and at least 6 years of experience in irrigation and landscape projects. The Site Engineer will be responsible for managing on-site activities, ensuring the construction of landscape and irrigation systems adheres to design specifications, quality standards, and project timelines. The role demands technical expertise, leadership, and effective coordination between contractors, consultants, and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Site Supervision:

Oversee the day-to-day operations on-site, ensuring that all landscape and irrigation works are carried out according to design specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.

Irrigation System Installation:

Supervise the installation of irrigation systems, ensuring compliance with design, functionality, and water efficiency standards. This includes drip irrigation, sprinkler systems, and other landscape irrigation solutions.

Landscape Construction:

Manage the construction of both hardscape and softscape elements, including earthworks, paving, planting, water features, and other landscape components. Ensure timely and accurate execution in line with the project plan.

Quality Assurance & Control:

Monitor construction quality and adherence to project specifications. Conduct regular inspections and tests to ensure compliance with the approved drawings and design standards.

Coordination with Contractors:

Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure smooth project execution. Ensure materials are delivered on time, and resources are utilized efficiently.

Progress Reporting:

Provide regular updates to the Project Manager or Construction Manager on the status of the project. Document and report any issues, delays, or deviations from the project plan.

Safety Management:

Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental policies on-site. Conduct regular safety checks and ensure compliance with UAE regulations.

Technical Support & Problem Solving:

Provide technical guidance and problem-solving expertise to the team. Address any issues or challenges that arise during the construction process, ensuring solutions are found in a timely manner.

Surveying & Site Measurements:

Assist with site surveys, measurements, and layout marking to ensure construction aligns with approved designs. Help in site preparation and grading as required.

Documentation & Record Keeping:

Maintain proper documentation for all site activities, including daily reports, progress logs, and material usage. Ensure that all records are accurate and up to date for project audits.

Client and Consultant Interaction:

Communicate with clients and consultants as necessary to resolve project-related issues, provide updates, and ensure satisfaction.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Experience:

Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Site Engineer in irrigation and landscape construction, with a strong background in civil engineering. Prior experience working on large-scale landscape or irrigation projects in the UAE or GCC is preferred.

Education:

A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Additional certifications in construction management or landscape-related disciplines would be beneficial.

Technical Skills:

Strong knowledge of landscape construction methods, irrigation systems (drip, sprinkler, etc.), and civil engineering principles. Proficient in surveying and using relevant construction tools and equipment.

Project Management:

Demonstrated ability to manage site activities, timelines, and resources effectively. Familiarity with project management software (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD, etc.) is a plus.

Communication Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Ability to coordinate effectively with team members, clients, and contractors. Knowledge of Arabic is a plus.

Problem-Solving Abilities:

Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve issues swiftly to avoid delays.

Regulatory Knowledge:

Familiarity with UAE construction regulations, health and safety standards, and environmental practices.

Time Management:

Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
