About the Role

We are seeking a skilled

Site Electrical Engineer

to join a leading contract engineering and construction team delivering industrial, commercial, and infrastructure projects across the UAE. The successful candidate will oversee electrical works on-site, ensuring safe, high-quality implementation, compliance with codes and standards, and timely delivery.

Responsibilities

Oversee all electrical installations on site, including power distribution, lighting, earthing, motors, control panels, and associated equipment. Review electrical drawings, specifications, and installation procedures; ensure correct implementation as per design, local regulations, and international standards. Liaise with project management, design teams, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing), and Fire Engineering departments for coordination. Ensure Electrical / MEP / Fire safety compliance, testing, commissioning, and handover. Monitor quality of workmanship, materials, and safety practices; perform inspections and test reports. Supervise electrical sub-contractors and workers; manage schedules, resources, and workmanship. Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues arising during construction. Maintain accurate site documentation: progress reports, site diaries, permits, compliance certificates, and as-built drawings. Ensure adherence to Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies / regulations on site.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field. Minimum of

6-8 years

field / site experience in industrial / commercial construction, electrical installation and commissioning. Experience working on large scale industrial / EPC projects preferred. Strong knowledge of UAE electrical codes and standards, International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), NEC or similar. Good understanding of Fire Alarm, Emergency Lighting systems, and ATEX-rated equipment (if applicable). Proficient in reading electrical drawings, single line diagrams, load studies, cable sizing, power quality, etc. Strong communication, coordination, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing site conditions. Valid UAE driving license preferred.
