The Site Civil Engineer is responsible for planning, supervising, and executing dewatering works at project sites. The role ensures safe, efficient, and compliant operation of dewatering systems while coordinating with clients, consultants, and site teams. The position requires prior experience in dewatering projects.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise installation, operation, and maintenance of dewatering systems (well points, deep wells, sump pumping, etc.).
Study drawings, site conditions, and groundwater levels to plan effective dewatering solutions.
Coordinate with project managers, clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
Monitor daily site activities, manpower, equipment, and materials.
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Prepare daily reports, progress updates, and as-built records.
Identify and resolve site issues related to groundwater control and excavation stability.
Ensure proper dismantling and restoration after completion of dewatering works.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a dewatering company or groundwater control projects.
Strong knowledge of dewatering methods, pumps, and site operations.
Ability to read drawings and manage site documentation.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Working Conditions
Site-based role with exposure to active construction environments.
May require extended hours based on project needs.
