Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Site Civil Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible in supervising construction activities, ensuring compliance with approved designs, specifications, and quality standards This role requires a proactive individual skilled in problem-solving, quality control, and progress reporting, with the ability to coordinate between clients, contractors, and other stakeholders effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and inspect site civil works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and safety standards. Maintain daily site diaries and inspection reports, documenting progress and issues. Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to ensure smooth execution of civil activities. Verify that materials delivered and used on-site comply with the project requirements. Conduct regular site inspections and attend site meetings with the contractor and client. Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and follow up on corrective actions. Assist in reviewing shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals. Provide technical support to the Resident Engineer and highlight any deviations or delays. Monitor and ensure implementation of quality assurance and control measures. Assist in quantity verification and certification for civil works completed. Authority Compliance: Conduct regular compliance checks to meet all authority regulations, preparing for inspections and securing necessary approvals. Quality Control: Implement quality assurance procedures, inspect work quality, and address any deviations from standards to maintain consistency. Health and Safety Compliance: Enforce health, safety, and environmental regulations, conduct regular audits, and ensure PPE is used by all personnel. Project Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of site inspections, quality checks, test results, and authority approvals. Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary on-site contact, liaising with clients, contractors, sub-consultants, and regulatory agencies to ensure alignment. Progress Tracking and Reporting: Monitor project progress against timelines, prepare regular reports, and communicate any delays or issues to stakeholders. Technical Issue Resolution: Address and resolve on-site technical issues, ensuring design clarity and regulatory compliance for smooth project execution. Inspection Preparation and Liaison: Prepare the site for authority inspections, address concerns, and facilitate follow-up actions to secure timely approvals. Risk Identification and Mitigation: Continuously assess project risks, especially regarding compliance, and implement measures to minimize their impact. Testing and Verification: Oversee tests on materials (e.g., concrete, soil) to ensure they meet project and regulatory standards before use.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field of Study. MOFA Attested Certificate is mandatory. -Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Site Engineer or in a similar role within the UAE. Strong knowledge of construction quality standards, safety regulations, and local codes. Proficient in reading and interpreting architectural and structural drawings. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders. Attention to detail and proactive problem-solving abilities.
