Job Description

:

A Site Civil Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day management and execution of civil engineering projects at the construction site. This role includes supervising on-site operations, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and safety regulations, coordinating with contractors and suppliers, and reporting progress to project managers or senior engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Execution & Supervision
- Monitor and oversee site activities to ensure construction is carried out according to approved plans, drawings, and specifications.

- Coordinate daily tasks with subcontractors, workers, and other professionals on-site.

Quality Control
- Ensure materials and workmanship comply with project requirements and quality standards.

- Conduct inspections and testing of construction work.

Site Coordination
- Liaise with architects, designers, consultants, and clients to clarify technical issues.

- Attend site meetings to report progress, delays, and issues.

Health & Safety Compliance
- Enforce strict adherence to health and safety standards.

- Identify and mitigate potential hazards on-site.

Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain site diaries, records of materials, and daily progress reports.

- Track project timelines, resources, and expenditures.

Problem Solving
- Resolve unexpected technical difficulties and work with the team to ensure timely completion.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Proven experience (5-10+ years) in a similar site-based role. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. Proficient in project management tools and software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project). Excellent communication and leadership skills. Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
