Job Posting: Site Civil Engineer Basement+G+5 Floor Building

Sino Grand Wall International Contracting LLC is a leading civil construction firm known for delivering high-quality, innovative projects. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Site Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the critical link between project designs and their physical realization on the ground, with a specific focus on interpreting structural steel drawings and ensuring their accurate implementation.

Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the day-to-day civil and structural activities on-site, ensuring that all work is completed safely, on schedule, and in strict compliance with project specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Site Supervision & Implementation:

Direct and supervise daily construction activities for civil and structural steel works, including earthwork, grading, foundations, and the erection of steel structures.

Drawing Interpretation:

Expertly read, interpret, and analyze structural steel drawings, fabrication drawings, and other technical documents to guide the work crew.

Quality Control:

Perform regular site inspections to verify that all work, particularly steel erection and connections, conforms to the approved drawings, specifications, and relevant codes (e.g., AISC, OSHA).

Layout & Surveying:

Conduct and/or verify site layout, setting out, and dimensional control for foundations, anchor bolts, and structural steel columns/beams using surveying instruments (Total Station, GPS, Level).

Problem Solving:

Identify and resolve any discrepancies between design drawings and site conditions promptly and effectively, coordinating with the Project Manager and design team as needed.

Material & Workflow Coordination:

Monitor the delivery of materials, especially structural steel components, and ensure they are available as per the project schedule.

Reporting:

Maintain accurate and detailed daily site reports, progress updates, and as-built drawings.

Safety Compliance:

Enforce strict adherence to all company safety policies and procedures, promoting a zero-accident culture on site.

Qualifications & Experience

Required:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Proven experience (3+ years) as a Site Engineer or similar role on construction projects involving structural steel.

Demonstrable ability to read and interpret complex structural steel fabrication and erection drawings is a MUST.

Hands-on experience with site layout, grading, and foundation work. Proficiency with surveying equipment and techniques. Strong understanding of construction safety standards and procedures. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Preferred:

Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.. Experience with Abu Dhabi regulations and understand meps

Skills & Competencies

Technical Acumen:

Deep understanding of civil engineering principles and steel construction methodologies.

Attention to Detail:

Meticulous in checking drawings and verifying work against them.

Leadership & Communication:

Ability to lead work crews, provide clear instructions, and communicate effectively with project managers, subcontractors, and clients.

Proactive & Hands-On:

A "can-do" attitude with a willingness to be on-site daily and actively manage the work.

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
