Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Site Architect to join our buildings supervision team in Dubai. The role is responsible for overseeing all architectural works on site, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, authority requirements, and international best practices. The Site Architect will work closely with the Resident Architect/Resident Engineer, structural and MEP teams, and the contractor to ensure high quality, coordination, and timely delivery of the project.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in high- and mid-rise building projects in the UAE, solid knowledge of Dubai authority standards (e.g. Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, DDA, Civil Defence, RTA), and the ability to review shop drawings, materials, and method statements with a critical eye. Experience with BIM/Revit and ISO 19650-based processes is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and monitor all architectural works on site to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards. Review and comment on architectural shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings submitted by the contractor. Review and approve architectural materials, samples, and mock-ups in line with project specifications and authority requirements. Monitor construction progress and report any deviations, delays, or quality concerns to the Resident Architect/Resident Engineer. Coordinate closely with structural, MEP, ID, and landscape teams to resolve design and site coordination issues. Attend technical, coordination, and progress meetings with the client, contractor, and other stakeholders as required. Inspect works for compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements in coordination with the HSE team. Ensure that finishes, facade works, and internal layouts meet the design intent, client requirements, and project standards. Prepare site reports, snag lists, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and follow up on corrective actions. Support the authority liaison team and provide technical input for authority inspections and approvals, where required. Assist in reviewing contractor method statements, ITPs, and QA/QC documentation related to architectural works. Contribute to the implementation of BIM/ISO 19650 processes where applicable, including coordination of models and information. Maintain proper documentation, site records, and correspondence related to architectural supervision activities. Support the Resident Architect/Resident Engineer and Project Manager in ensuring timely completion of milestones and overall project delivery.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Architecture from a recognized university; Master's degree is an advantage. Minimum 7-10 years of total experience, with at least 5 years in the UAE on building projects. Proven experience as a Site Architect on high- or mid-rise residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments. Strong knowledge of UAE building codes, Dubai Municipality regulations, and other authority requirements (DDA, Trakhees, Civil Defence, RTA, etc.). Solid understanding of architectural detailing, finishes, facade systems, and coordination with structural and MEP disciplines. Previous experience with engineering consultancy firms in the UAE is highly preferred. Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit/BIM and ISO 19650-based workflows is an advantage. Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken); Arabic is an advantage. Strong site supervision, problem-solving, and coordination skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Valid UAE driving license is an advantage.
