Parsons is seeking an experienced

Signaling Expert

to join our team for a landmark high speed rail project in the UAE. The successful candidate will provide

technical leadership, design review, and independent assurance

for all signaling systems, ensuring they meet stringent

safety, performance, and operational requirements

specific to high-speed rail operations.


This role focuses on

design review, verification, contractor oversight, and interface coordination

, ensuring that signaling systems are safe, reliable, and fully integrated with other railway disciplines, including rolling stock, traction power, and communication systems.

What You'll Be Doing:

Provide expert technical guidance and independent assurance for

high-speed rail signaling systems

, including interlocking, ATP, ETCS, CBTC, and train control solutions. Review and approve contractor

signaling design submissions, schematics, and specifications

for compliance with HSR operational and safety requirements. Evaluate

system integration

, reliability, and operational readiness of signaling systems in line with HSR standards. Lead design review workshops, technical meetings, and interface coordination sessions as the

signaling SME

. Monitor and assess contractor T&C plans for signaling systems to ensure

safety, performance, and compliance

. Ensure signaling designs and implementation comply with

EN 50126 / 50128 / 50129

, IEC standards, and UAE authority regulations. Support integration with

civil, power, telecom, and rolling stock systems

for seamless operation. Review risk assessments, hazard analyses, and mitigation measures related to high-speed rail signaling. Contribute to

handover, operational readiness, and certification

processes for signaling systems. Prepare technical reports, recommendations, and dashboards for senior management and the Client regarding signaling design and system performance. Mentor PMC team members on signaling design, integration, and HSR-specific safety practices.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Systems, or Railway Engineering

(Master's preferred).

Minimum 15 years of professional experience

in

railway signaling

, including

high-speed rail or advanced metro systems

. Proven expertise in

high-speed rail signaling, interlocking, CBTC, ETCS Level 2, and ATP systems

. Strong knowledge of

systems integration, safety, and reliability for high-speed operations

. Familiarity with

international HSR signaling standards

and UAE authority requirements. Experience coordinating

interfaces between signaling, civil, traction power, telecoms, and rolling stock

. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proficiency in design and review tools such as

AutoCAD, Bentley, or specialized signaling software

.
