to join our construction team. The primary responsibility will be to build formwork (shuttering) for concrete structures, including columns, beams, slabs, foundations, and walls. The candidate should have strong knowledge of construction drawings and the ability to work with hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Interpret and work from construction drawings and blueprints.
Measure, cut, assemble, and fix shuttering (formwork) using timber, plywood, and metal systems.
Install prefabricated formwork systems (e.g., Doka, Peri).
Ensure all formwork is level, aligned, and securely installed to support wet concrete.
Strip and dismantle formwork after concrete sets, cleaning and storing materials for reuse.
Coordinate with steel fixers, masons, and other trades.
Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
Follow safety guidelines and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Report defects, damages, or hazards to the supervisor immediately.
Requirements:
Minimum [3-5] years of experience as a shuttering/formwork carpenter.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
Familiarity with different formwork systems (timber, steel, aluminum).
Skilled in using carpentry tools and equipment.
Strong physical stamina and manual dexterity.
Knowledge of construction site safety procedures.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
