To safely and efficiently operate a shovel/excavator at construction sites for earthmoving, loading, trenching, grading, and site preparation activities, ensuring smooth project operations in compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Operate shovel/excavator machines for
excavation, trenching, backfilling, and loading materials
.
Inspect and maintain machinery daily to ensure proper functioning.
Follow site drawings, instructions, and signals from site engineers and supervisors.
Load dump trucks with soil, sand, debris, and construction materials.
Dig foundations, trenches, pits, and other required areas accurately.
Ensure safety of workers and surrounding structures while operating machinery.
Perform minor repairs and report any mechanical issues to maintenance.
Maintain cleanliness of the machine and ensure proper lubrication.
Follow all
HSE (Health, Safety, Environment)
rules and report any hazards.
Coordinate with site personnel to ensure smooth workflow.
Ensure proper leveling, grading, and compacting as instructed.
Operate the machine in all weather and site conditions.
Skills & Requirements
Valid
UAE shovel/excavator operator license
.
Minimum
2-3 years of GCC experience
in construction sites.
Good understanding of machine controls and safety protocols.
Ability to read and follow instructions.
Physical fitness and alertness for long working hours.
