Safely and efficiently operate a shovel (electric, hydraulic, etc.) to excavate, move, and load materials like soil, ore, or gravel.
Conduct pre-start inspections, assist with basic maintenance and lubrication, and report any mechanical issues to maintenance staff.
Communicate with dispatchers, spotters, and haul truck drivers to ensure a productive and safe workflow.
Keep the equipment and work area clean and organized.
