Qualifications:
Safely operate a mechanical shovel or hydraulic shovel to move rock, gravel, sand, and other materials.
Load and unload materials into trucks, bins, or storage piles according to project specifications.
Prepare and maintain the work area by clearing debris and ensuring the shovel is positioned for optimal operation.
Inspect equipment daily, perform basic maintenance tasks (e.g., lubricating parts, checking fluids), and report any mechanical issues to supervisors.
Follow all safety guidelines and industry regulations to ensure safe operation of equipment.
Work closely with site supervisors, foremen, and other machine operators to coordinate tasks and meet deadlines.
Experience with a variety of heavy equipment (e.g., excavators, bulldozers, backhoes).
Previous experience in construction or similar industries.
