We are seeking a friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic
Bakery Shop Assistant
to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and a love for baked goods. You will assist in the daily operations of the bakery, including serving customers, handling payments, and maintaining a clean and inviting environment.Key Responsibilities:
Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service Assist customers with their purchases and offer product recommendations Handle cash and card transactions accurately using a POS system Restock shelves and display baked goods in an attractive manner Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the shop and workstations Assist with packaging, labeling, and pricing of bakery products Support bakers with basic food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed Comply with health and safety regulations at all times
Requirements:
Previous retail or food service experience preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Friendly and professional demeanour Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Basic math skills for handling transactions Flexible schedule, including availability on weekends and holidays Food hygiene knowledge or certification is a plus
