Shipping Operations Manager
Job Description
Takes full responsibility of management of the Ocean Export operations from the US to all destinations
Lead booking, documentation and finance desks while to maintain smooth of ocean export traffic from the origins to destinations.
Takes responsibility for the pricing process from Ocean freight procurement from shipping lines, then quoting till invoices correctly according to agreed rates and disputing them when needed.
Act as a contact point with other departments, receive, respond, and follow up on escalations involving operations and pricing issues.
Acts as SME "Special Matter Expert" on all Ocean shipping pricing issues, for all Nejoum group departments.
Offer alternative Ocean shipping solutions, for difficult loads.
Leads the operations team with adapting new shipping products, not exclusive to compliance training, TMS update with concerned IT desk, and taking the lead till a success point is reached.
Reporting to different management levels on specific issues or overall performance.
