Job Summary

Our Client is looking for a Ship Building Project Manager to join the team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, design, and construction of ships and other marine vessels. The Project Manager will manage the project from start to finish, ensuring that the project is completed on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
• Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
• Ensure resource availability and allocation
• Develop a detailed project plan to track progress
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
• Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
• Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
• Report and escalate to management as needed
• Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks
• Meets financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions
• Ensure that all identified contractors are suitably pre-qualified/ assured for the delivery of the project.
• Provide technical direction to supply chain for the negotiation of the purchase of any good and/ or services required for the delivery of the project

Job requirements

• Fluent in English
• 10+ years of experience in ship building industry.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Strong organizational skills including attention to detail * Ability to work with multiple discipline projects

• Excellent project management and supervision skills
• Excellent organizational, time management, leadership, and decision-making skills
• Knowledge of applicable codes, policies, standards, and best practices.
• Technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
• Checks on projects to make sure they are being done properly

Takes a stand on critical issues * Excellent computer literacy and knowledge of design and visualization software

• Education: Bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Marine Engineering. PMP certification
• Age: 33 years or above
