Please note that this is not a comprehensive list of everything that you will do. Habtoor Team Members will always endeavor to find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their colleagues. Your key responsibilities for this position are:
To adhere to grooming standards at all times.
To maintain and enforce all standards and procedures for Housekeeping service.
Supervise and conduct training on a regular basis.
Responsible for maintaining cleanliness to all assigned work areas.
Inspect assigned section daily, including departures, arrivals, occupied, VIP's, Public Areas of the Resort (both back of house and front of house), ensuring that they have been cleaned to the highest level, all maintenance is reported and rectified and standards are being adhered to.
Ensure all VIP arrivals are inspected prior to arrival and throughout the stay for both day and turndown service.
Ensure that all rooms are ready on time, all special requests and preferences have been adhered to for arrivals and stay over rooms.
Ensure proper use and care of equipment.
Ensure the Lost and Found procedure is adhered to at all times.
Ensure supplies and stock levels are maintained in pantries and Housekeeping store.
The ability to maintain safe work practices.
The ability to perform corrective performance discussions with staff.
The ability to conduct performance reviews for assigned staff.
The ability to take ownership in assigned areas of preventative maintenance programs or deep cleaning projects and ensure the work is carried out to the highest possible standards and that it is completed in a timely manner.
Ensure all defects are reported immediately and follow up to ensure they have been completed.
To assist and implement maintenance programs for public areas.
Control all equipment and supplies issued and returned.
To maintain a par stock of all guest supplies, cleaning supplies and equipment.
Ensure that all equipment is in good working condition at all times.
Actively take monthly inventories of all chemicals, supplies and equipment.
Maintain a daily log indicating assignments and notes on repairs and maintenance items as well as special cleaning tasks.
Inspect all public areas of the Resort, ensuring that they have been cleaned to the highest level, all maintenance is reported and rectified and standards are being adhered to.
To provide an accurate and detailed hand over at end of shift.
To be responsible for checking that staff has satisfactorily completed the work assigned to them before going off duty.
To supervise the change of any soft furnishings and any other upholstery in need of change, repair or cleaning.
To supervise the changing of blankets, mattress protectors and pillows as required by the Resort. To ensure the mattresses are turned as per the schedule.
To perform other tasks or projects as assigned by Management.
To handle all guest requests, queries and complaints promptly and to exercise discretion in any contact with guests.
To inform Security of any matters relating to the security of the Resort, staff and guests property.
To adhere to all Resort Policies and Procedures.
To report any Health and Safety hazards.
To ensure that any accidents (however minor) are documented and reported.
To know Fire / Bomb procedures and regulations.
Ensuring all food hygiene and health and safety regulations are strictly adhered to and implements any legislation as required by UAE Law
