Minimum 2 year of proven experience as a Waiter or Server in a restaurant, cafe, or hotel setting.
High school diploma or equivalent is often preferred.
Basic math skills for handling transactions and making change.
Strong Menu Knowledge: Ability to quickly memorize and describe menu items, ingredients, preparation methods, and specials, including knowledge of common allergies.
Communication: Clear, effective, and polite communication with customers, kitchen staff, and management (e.g., repeating orders for accuracy, relaying special requests).
A cooperative attitude and willingness to support colleagues (e.g., helping bus tables, running food for other servers).
Greet and seat guests, present menus, explain specials, and answer questions about food and beverages.
Check in with guests throughout the meal to ensure satisfaction and quickly address any needs or requests (e.g., drink refills).
Clear dishes, clean, and reset tables quickly and efficiently once guests depart.
Maintain a clean and organized dining area and side stations.
