Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced

Senior WordPress Developer

to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate deep expertise in modern WordPress development, strong experience working in cloud-based environments, and the ability to solve complex technical challenges. This role requires advanced technical proficiency, close collaboration with cross-functional teams, and a strong commitment to delivering secure, high-performance, and scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, customize, and maintain WordPress applications, including custom themes and plugins, following modern development standards and best practices. Conduct comprehensive code reviews to ensure quality, maintainability, scalability, and adherence to coding standards. Manage and support application deployments using

Docker

and

CI/CD pipelines

, in collaboration with the DevOps team. Perform advanced debugging and troubleshooting across WordPress codebases and

Microsoft Azure

cloud resources (e.g., App Service, Virtual Machines, API Management). Integrate and consume

REST APIs

, and work with

Composer

and modern PHP development workflows. Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior and mid-level developers within the WordPress team. Ensure optimal performance, security, reliability, and scalability across all WordPress applications. Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years

of hands-on experience in WordPress development, including custom themes, plugins, and complex application builds. Strong proficiency in

PHP, MySQL, JavaScript

, and

RESTful API integration

. Proven experience working with

Docker

and environments supported by

CI/CD pipelines

. Solid knowledge of

Composer

and modern PHP development practices. Experience working with

Microsoft Azure

cloud services and related troubleshooting. Demonstrated ability to debug and resolve complex issues across both application code and cloud infrastructure. Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience working in cross-functional, multidisciplinary teams. In-depth understanding of

performance optimization, security best practices, and scalability

for WordPress-based systems.

Fluency in English
