Ramboll is committed to building our business here in the Middle East and to improve our capture rate for projects in the region. We are taking the next step in this regard with the addition of a new Senior Utilities Engineer



Supporting the Civil and Infrastructure teams in the role of a Civil Engineer- Infrastructure Utilities with a strong Engineering background. * Will be responsible for managing the production of technical design information including reports, drawings and specifications for the infrastructure associated projects.

• Liase with both private and public clients, local authorities and external stakeholders.
• The successful candidate will be expected to work on their own initiative with minimum supervision.
• Expected to carry out technical reviews and the checking of design information and reports prepared by other engineers in the team.
• Assist with the production of proposals for new commissions, and undertaking project management and financial control of small to medium sized projects.
• Promote the Ramboll brand and undertake business development.
• Apply and promote policies relating to health and safety, quality, and the development of others
• Undertaking Project Management and financial control of small to medium sized projects.
• Carry out technical reviews and checking of design information and reports prepared by others.
• Develop and grow within Ramboll\'s Technical Support Groups driving innovation, new technologies and techniques.

Qualifications & Skills

• BEng/MEng (Hons) Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Experience 10-12 years, Middle East Experience is a must.
• Experience in the design and project management of wet utilities for land development and various infrastructure projects and will be responsible for the production of detailed design information, technical reports, drawings, tender documents and specifications.
• Experience in Design of Wet utilities systems such as Potable water distribution Network, Foul Sewer Network, Irrigation Network, Stormwater drainage network, stormwater management design using Best Management Practices (BMP) or Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SUDS), hydrology, watershed and flood analysis.
• Experience in District Cooling and GAS networks is an advantage.
• Demonstrate experience and proficiency of industry standard software including AutoCAD, Civils 3D, BIM, Clash Detection tools such as Naviswork, etc. or equivalent software tools.
• Demonstrate experience and proficiency of Wet Utilities software including Water CAD, StormCAD, SewerCAD, Culvert Master, Flow Master, Micro Drainage (Windess), Infoworks CS, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, Storm and Sanitary analysis or equivalent software tools.
• Experience in pumps and lifting stations design is preferable.
• Demonstrate experience using design standards covering multiple geographies (preferably UAE, KSA and other GCC countries).
• Has widespread experience of taking the lead on consulting projects and in acting as an engineering/technical/functional resource.
• Has excellent English language skills (written and oral), coupled with strong communication (written and oral) and negotiating skills.
• Demonstrates the ability to enhance client relationships and support the winning of business opportunities and development of proposals.

• Comfortable in client presentations, report writing and taking the lead role on a project.
• Demonstrates additional learning/achievements either through Engineering Institutes or through Academic/Research.
• Innovative and creative in problem solving and adaptable to changes from the Client, Ramboll and market environments. Innovates when creating compelling solutions to both challenges faced by Clients and encountered when conducting projects.
• Understand the value of Ramboll\'s expertise beyond their own subject matter and works effectively within multi-disciplinary teams to address Client needs.
• Demonstrates strong social and networking skills and is able to negotiate, present and write content in support of the project.
• Effectively presents, receives, processes & interprets information (written & oral) and considers the best methods to do so in support of intended outcomes.
• Exhibits active listening to understand Client and other stakeholder needs and is effective when building networks whilst applying Ramboll\'s capabilities in order to meet those needs.
